Manufactured from high-strength XPS with a tough, impact-resistant surface, Underlay Linear provides a lightweight solution for timber or solid floors, with a choice of drain grids and waste outlets to suit different installation requirements.

Why Choose an Underlay Linear Wetroom Former?

Underlay Linear combines a lightweight XPS wetroom former with the clean appearance and high drainage capacity of a linear channel drain.

The former incorporates the required falls towards the drain and is easy to handle and cut on site.

Suitable for Timber & Solid Floors

Underlay Linear can be installed on timber or solid floor constructions. On timber floors, the former must be fully supported underneath in accordance with the installation instructions. For solid floors, the former can be recessed to help create a level-access tiled shower area.

Purus Living Linear Wetroom Drain

The Underlay Linear kit includes the Purus Living linear drain, providing a contemporary drainage solution with a choice of grid finishes and three waste outlet options to suit different installation depths and drainage requirements.

Yes. Underlay Linear is suitable for timber floor installations, but the former must be fully supported underneath in accordance with the installation instructions.

Can Underlay Linear be installed on solid floors?

Yes. Underlay Linear can be installed into suitable solid floor constructions and recessed where required to create a level-access tiled shower area.

What is the minimum tile size?

The high-compressive-strength surface allows tiles and mosaics from 20 × 20mm to be installed using a suitable tile adhesive.

Which waste outlet should I choose?

This depends mainly on the available installation depth, waste pipe direction and required flow rate. The low 52mm outlet is ideal where depth is restricted, while the 105mm side and end outlets provide higher flow rates.

Can the Underlay Linear former be cut to size?

Yes. The former can be cut where required to suit the available space, taking care to maintain the necessary falls towards the linear drain.

Does Underlay Linear need tanking before tiling?

Yes. The wetroom must be correctly waterproofed before tiling. The kit includes our paint-on tanking system for waterproofing the former and surrounding wet area.
