For rooms made of natural stone, multiply the cubic volume of the room by 1.75.

For rooms that exceed 15.5m³, multiple generators may be linked together.

What Size Steam Generator Do I Need?

Steam generators are primarily selected according to the volume of the steam room, but the construction and surface materials also need to be considered. Materials such as natural stone, glass and other high heat-loss surfaces can increase the generator output required.

Calculate the basic room volume by multiplying the internal length × width × height in metres. Contact our technical team with these dimensions and details of the room construction and we can help confirm the appropriate generator.

The SaunaLogic App allows you to control all the function and programming of your steam room (and/or sauna) from wherever you are, requiring only a WiFi connection or phone service (3G/4G/5G). Within the app you can adjust temperature, choose light colour, set a delay time up to 24-hours, use the 60-minute timer and at a glance see the current status of your steam bath. Autodrain Option

AK generators should be should give years of service with minimal maintenance. However it is important to periodically drain the steam tank to flush and clear any limescale at least monthly.

A manual drain valve is included with the standard generator package, but if the location of the generator makes access difficult for draining, or just for quality of life purposes the autodrain system should be specified.

Always add the autodrain if the generator will be connected via a water softener.

Building a Complete Steam Room

A successful steam room requires more than the generator itself. The room must be correctly constructed, insulated and waterproofed, with suitable surfaces, drainage, seating and a properly sealed steam-room enclosure.
