Where should a steam generator be installed?
The generator should normally be installed outside the steam room in an accessible location with the required water, electrical and drain connections.
Does a steam room need to be waterproofed?
Yes. The entire steam room, including the floor, walls, ceiling and any built-in seating, should be correctly waterproofed before tiling.

Do steam room walls need insulating?
Yes. Insulating the walls and ceiling helps retain heat and allows the steam room to reach temperature more efficiently. We recommend suitable tile backer boards as part of the construction.
