A complete structural wetroom system for tiled floors, combining the Maxxus floor former, Purus Minimax drain and paint-on tanking system in one kit.

At only 22mm thick, the Maxxus former is self-supporting, can be installed over timber joists or into solid floors, and is available in a wide range of sizes to suit different wetroom layouts.

All components are also available separately.

Maxxus is a structural wetroom floor former designed to replace the section of flooring within the shower area while creating the correct falls towards the drain.

Its self-supporting construction allows it to span timber joists at up to 400mm centres without requiring additional support beneath the former.

Suitable for Timber & Solid Floors

Maxxus can be installed in both timber and solid floor constructions. In timber floors, the structural former can be installed over suitable joists, while solid-floor installations can be recessed to create a level-access tiled shower area.

Purus Minimax 2-Part Wetroom Drain

This kit includes a Purus Minimax 2-part drain, providing high-capacity drainage while maintaining a shallow installation depth beneath the former.

Can Maxxus be installed on timber floors?

Yes. The Maxxus former is self-supporting and suitable for timber floor installations, accepting loads up to 470kg over joists at 400mm centres.

Can Maxxus be installed on concrete floors?

Yes. Maxxus is suitable for both timber and solid floor installations and can be recessed into a concrete or screeded floor to create the required wetroom level.

Can the Maxxus former be cut to size?

Yes. Maxxus formers can be cut where required to suit the available space. Care should be taken to maintain sufficient falls towards the drain.

Do I need to waterproof the Maxxus former before tiling?

Yes. The wetroom must be correctly waterproofed before tiling. The Maxxus tiled-floor kit includes our paint-on tanking system for waterproofing the former and surrounding wet area.

Can I use underfloor heating with Maxxus?

Yes. Maxxus wetroom systems can be used with suitable electric underfloor heating. Refer to our underfloor heating guide for installation options and requirements.
